In this exclusive lecture from an SFDerm virtual conference recorded on November 18, 2023, we hear from Dr. Sarina B. Elmariah, MD, PhD, MPH, about bearing the burden of prurigo nodularis. Prurigo nodularis is an under diagnosed condition of the skin that can produce unbearable itch, diminished quality of life, and psychological distress. In this lecture, Dr. Elmariah discusses the itch-scratch cycle and disruption of this disease along with new therapies and emerging treatments with the goal to control itch, heal skin lesions, and improve sleep quality caused by prurigo nodularis.
